CareLoop vs Birdie

Birdie's UX, built for residential care groups.

If your group runs care homes (or a mix of dom-care and residential), CareLoop covers both. Same modern feel, broader scope.

Where Birdie is strong

Birdie is excellent for home-care providers who need scheduled visits, route optimisation and a clean carer app. They've raised serious VC funding and the product is polished — but the focus is squarely on dom-care, not residential.

Three reasons groups switch from Birdie

1

Care homes are the centre, not an afterthought

Birdie is dom-care first. CareLoop is built around 24/7 residential settings — eMAR rounds, body maps, falls register, family portal. We do dom-care visits too, with magic-link confirms.

2

All compliance & training included

Birdie integrates with third-party LMS providers. CareLoop ships with 31 real-world UK care courses, multi-language, plus a full certifications dashboard.

3

Per-home pricing without per-visit fees

Birdie's pricing scales with visits and seats. CareLoop is one flat per-home rate that includes unlimited visits, residents and staff at that location.

Common questions

We run dom-care AND residential — does CareLoop cover both?

Yes. Visit scheduling and magic-link confirms are the same primitives whether the visit is at someone's home or inside one of your care homes. Residents in residential homes get the full eMAR + body map + care plan stack.

What about route optimisation for dom-care?

Currently we surface unassigned visits sorted by location and time but don't compute optimal routes. Route optimisation is on the roadmap — talk to us if it's a hard requirement.
